Discovery Pass

The Discovery Pass is a multi - operator day pass which offers you an easy one-purchase ticket for your entire day's travel. With the Discovery Pass you will be able to travel on virtually any bus, train or ferry to get to or from work, study or shopping.

Cost

$14 per day.

Where to buy

The Discovery Pass is sold by bus drivers, train staff, at the Fullers ticket office at the Downtown Ferry Terminal, Britomart Transport Centre and Newmarket Train Station Ticket Office.

This Pass is available for travel at any time between 5am and midnight on the day of purchase, and between midnight and 4.59am of the following day.

Where to use

The Discovery Pass is available for use on most public transport services in the Auckland region on services within the boundaries created by Pukekohe/Waiuku (for buses), Papakura and Waitakere (for trains) and Beachlands/Maraetai in the South/East to Waimauku and Wenderholm (Waiwera) in the North/West operated by the participating operators, BUT NOT

• school transport services (either private or operated on behalf of the Auckland Regional Transport Authority (ARTA) or Ministry of Education)
• Trains to Pukekohe
• on ferry services between Auckland, Half Moon Bay, Waiheke and other islands in the Hauraki Gulf, West Harbour, Pine Harbour and Gulf Harbour or on bus services on Waiheke Island.
• Airbus Express.

Operators that accept this pass

The public transport operators who have agreed to participate in this integrated ticket are Birkenhead Transport, Veolia Transport Auckland (excluding trains to Pukekohe), Fullers (North Shore services only), Howick & Eastern Buses, Ritchies Transport, Waka Pacific/North Star/GO WEST/Metrolink/LINK, Urban Express and Tranzit.
